presley-elvis.jpg

pfc.jpgYou know who I’m talking about, the man who will rule this day forever.  Elvis Aaron Presley, The King of Rock and Roll died on this day August 16, 1977.  I assume everybody and their brother will have an Elvis youtube playing today so I will spare you, although I do have an Elvis treat down on the left on the black box is a song that is pretty rare, Stagger Lee it is only 1:24 long and he just happened to perform it on my birthday June 29, 1974 live in Kansas City.  No, I wasn’t born in 1974, that would make me a hell of a lot younger.  I also have another song on that box that is one of my favorites its called Such a Night and was in the movie 3000 Miles to Graceland.  Just in case you don’t know, Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches was a favorite of the King.

I have seen Photos like this one come in my e-mail more than once.  When I started seeing a lot of them I figured that they were Fauxtography instead of Photography.  I found out the other night that they are indeed real.  At Live Science they have fourteen more with write ups about the Jets and where they were taken.  This one was taken…

“Off the coast of Pusan, South Korea, July 7, 1999 — An F/A-18 Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron One Five One (VFA-151) breaks the sound barrier in the skies over the Pacific Ocean. VFA-151 is deployed aboard USS Constellation (CVN 64).”

Lying nude on her bed, face down, with a telephone in one hand and an empty bottle of pills on her night stand and pills littered around the room.  The actress and American beauty Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her home in Los Angeles 45 years ago this day, August 5, 1962.  Her death was ruled as a self administered overdose and a probable suicide, conspiracy theories exist till this day, saying she was murdered.  Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jean Mortenson on June 1, 1926.  The most gorgeous lady ever!  IMHO

There have been local reports for several days of this.  It’s NOT a joke!  I assume it’s an albino dolphin. What a sight!   Photos  taken by Erik Rue of Lake Charles. story
