Red Skelton was born July 18, 1913 and died on this day September 17,  1997, He was a very funny comedian but he is being very serious about our Pledge of Allegiance.  He would be very disappointed in the way we have let the lunatic left take over our Country.  So much so that it now owns the Democratic Party, as we have seen from the Democratic Presidential candidates refusal to denounce the sick ad by moveon.org, which attacked the Honor of a four star General, Gen David Petraeus, for no other purpose than politics.  You people do nothing but weaken our Great Nation!  Thanks to ImgnNoLibs for the video.

Greg Gutfeld gives his gut feeling on the new Osama video.

Between Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, I guess you could say I was into magical women.  This post really isn’t about Jeannie but about the lady who played her, Barbara Eden.  Born Barbara Jean Moorhead on this day August 23, 1934 in Tucson, Arizona USA.  Before Barbara would change her name to Eden in order to further her career in Hollywood, she would first become Barbara Jean Huffman after the marriage by her Mother to Connor Huffman when she was just three years old.  reunion-1.jpgBarbara made quite a few movies as well as many television appearances on shows like Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, The Andy Griffith Show, Route 66 and I Love Lucy, before her most famous roll on I Dream of Jeanie that ran from 1965 to 1970.  I won’t bore you with a list of all her movies, just a few I think may be worth mentioning.  Eden’s first movie was Back to Eternity in 1956 she also played in Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? 1957, A Private Affair 1959, From the Terrance 1960, an Elvis Presley movie, Flaming Star in  1960, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea 1961,  The Confession 1964, 7 Faces of Dr. Lao 1964, The Brass Bottle 1964, Harper Valley PTA 1978, Chattanooga Choo Choo 1984, A Very Brady Sequel 1996 and Carolina in 2003.  In 2006 Barbara got together with her co-star of I Dream of Jeanie, Larry Hagman and hopped around a few Hollywood talk shows.  Odd note: One of Barbara Eden’s relatives traced her lineage back to Benjamin Franklin.  and, Yes, on occasion I still Dream of Jeannie.  Brian’s Jeannie Bottles

Julius Henry Marx, better known as “Groucho Marx,” born on October 2, 1890 and died on this day August 19, 1977 He was a Comedian, Writer, Radio Star, Movie Star, Television Star and just one of the biggest Stars ever!  I’m sure you’ve heard of him unless you lived your life under a rock, There is just way too much to him and the Marx Families life for me to even begin to cover, so here is the 26 movies that I know of.   Below that are some of the best one liners ever spoken.

mach-5.jpgMach Go Go Go was the Japanese name of the hit anime series Speed Racer that had its birth date today August 8, 1954.  If you grew up during the mid 50’s and early 60’s, you know the cartoon and the theme song.  If you don’t want it stuck in your head for days then don’t watch the video above, of the opening of the show.  It brings back memories for me.  I also found out that there is a movie in the works to come out in 2008.  It looks like it’s going to be big.  The Mach Five in real life!  Go Speed Go!  Thanks to Vaelfor for the video.
